South Africa - here I come!

At last the much anticipated day has arrived. I leave for Cape Town at 10.00am this morning. 5 nights and 4 days on the RMS with nothing to do but whatever takes my fancy. Sleep and reading are rather high on my list. It has been a hectic month. Besides working full time, leading 4 Bible Studies and Sunday School, trying to keep the manse livable, there is now a baby and a new mother wanting help.
2 weeks ago we took Hannah to the hospital at 2.00am because she was struggling to breathe. She spent 3 days there with suspected pneaumonia. She is fine now and growing by the day.
Arthur has been reinstated at church, and has taken over the Sunday School. He will hopefully also help out with one of my Bible study groups while I am away.
Graeme will be preparing to go to Ascension with Vincent March the day after I return to St Helena. Their plan is to encourage the Christians there - especially the Baptists.
I have just heard a knock on the door (7.30am). It was Danny's folks come to wish me well on my travels.
I have to rush off now to collect my chronic medicines before leaving. Perhaps I will be able to blog a bit while in SA.
