3 Sunday services. Graeme preached on the 4th chapter of Ruth.
I am collecting photos of the church members and adherents to put in a church directory. Here are 3 of the younger Knollcombes members.
3.00pm and the 4th Sunday of the month, means an afternoon service at the old age home. A good number of the church members came to support the meeting, and visit with the old folks afterwards.
Hats for church, are still worn by some of the folk. Sophie. A spritely 96 year old.
By some fluke, I found photos that I took before leaving SA, that were hidden somewhere in the bowels of my camera. Here are 3 of my favourites.

Great photos of the ladys at the Community Care Complex. The lovely lady with the hat is Caroline Peters, and below her is the incomparable Ma Flow. I am glad you have gone and visited them in half tree hollow. The wisdom, and history they embody are a treasure!
ReplyDeleteArthur really looks like his Dad to me! Nice to see pictures that help us get to know you better.
ReplyDelete(Kyle is my husband Hazel and to correct his spelling, its Ma Flo, as in Florence. She doesn't hear well but that doesn't stop her from telling a great story!)
Abi - haha! Hazie you and Graeme look real sharp on that farewell pic. So nice to see Arthur. I still have the drawing he did for me.Just looked at it yesterday.
ReplyDeleteWe are off on our travels today. I am writing here and hoping you are still snoozing in a bit. We are going to stop in Bloem then Cradock then on to PE to crash there a while. I will be sitting on the beach having quality prayer time for you all. Love you. Love the photos of your people. Bless all of you in the lovely Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Father Son and Holy Spirit forever.
